Homeowners scammed by Secure Horizons or Universal Relief Advocacy May Get Money Back

Were you scammed by Secure Horizons, a loan modification scam company?  The company also went by the name of Universal Relief Advocacy.

The San Diego City Attorney prosecuted the owner of Secure Horizons and obtained a conviction, and as a result, homeowners who paid money to Secure Horizons may be able to get their money back through the criminal case.

However, time is of the essence, and victims should contact the San Diego City Attorney’s office ASAP.

Homeowners have to submit a certified claim (signed under penalty of perjury) to the San Diego City Attorney within 45 days of sentencing, which was on September 19, 2014.  So, homeowners, only have until Monday, November 3, 2014 to submit a claim.
